Class Schedule
* Beginners classes begin Feb. 24 and Feb. 27. Distance class time changes Feb. 27. Until then, it is at 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
Class Descriptions Beginners This class is for dog/handler teams that are new to the sport of agility. Dogs will be off-lead for part of each class, so dog should be obedient off-lead. Dogs will be taught each of eight basic obstacles of agility. New classes start quarterly. Call for information. If you have any questions about this class, please contact Jaime. Intermediate This class is for dog/handler teams that have completed the Beginner Class. Obstacles will now be grouped so that dog/handler teams work mini-agility courses as they learn more about the sport. The Intermediate class is sometimes split into two levels based on the ability of the team and length of training. Show Preparation This class is for dog/handler teams that have completed the beginner and intermediate classes and can run a course of 15 to 20 obstacles off-lead. This class is designed to get the team ready for Novice level trials. Rules of AKC, USDAA, and NADAC will be discussed. Advanced This class is for dog/handler teams who have earned a Novice agility title, and who are competing above the Novice level in agility trials. Distance This class is for teaching dogs to work at a distance from the handler. It will prepare the dog/handler team for classes such as Gamblers and Chances. Dog/handler teams at all levels of ability are welcome to attend. Games Night This is not a true "class", as it is open to dog/handler teams who can sequence obstacles. Games that are set up include Regular/Standard, Jumpers (with and without weaves), Chances, Gamblers, Snooker, Tunnelers, Hoopers, Weavers, Touch & Go, and more.
