Board Meeting Minutes

September 21, 2005 6:00 p.m. Suzanne’s home

Board members present: Jane Trainham, Tricia Hastings, Kimberly Hall, Sue Lindsay, Suzanne Antonowich. Wade Pelton arrived later in the meeting.

The meeting was called to order at 6:20 p.m.

Old Business:

Clean Run ad looks great. Nice job on the placement and appearance.

The electricity work has been completed at the field – there is power in the shed, and a new light pole on the south end of the field.

Tricia Hastings has the figures for two different options for more permanent structures to replace the frame/canopies at the north end of the agility field. Two structures, each 11 x 22, would cost $7508.00 plus tax, installed. Two structures, one 11 x 22 and one 11 x 40, would cost $10,184.00 plus tax, installed. In either case, fans that we would purchase and provide would be installed at no additional cost.

New Business:

The AKC Trial Chair selection should occur at the September meeting in the future. Tricia Hastings will put this on the club calendar, and we will notify the members that we are seeking bids for that position.

AKC Trial Update – Wade Pelton was not present to provide information. Wade arrived later during the meeting, and said that the trial did well, and made money.

AKC and NADAC Trial Secretary positions – Tricia Hastings has received the records to do a fee-comparison on secretary positions.

The board voted to make a contribution to animal welfare organization(s) which are providing direct relief to Hurricane Katrina victims. It was decided that we would make a recommendation to the membership that the club make a donation at a starting monetary amount of $250.00, an amount which could be raised by a vote of the members.

The board received nominations for Volunteer Recognition Awards to be presented to Lori Fennell and JP Fennell at the K9Xpress Members Christmas Party.
