Austin K-9 Xpress Board Meeting
January 5, 2004

Present: Jaime Margiotta, Sheri Pillard, Jane Trainham, Tricia Hastings, Lori Fennell and Caroline Taylor.
Meeting called to order at 7:15

Field Combination – Changed quarterly, Kim to change

Xpress Bucks – Usage and tracking – Tricia will send draft of proposal to the board and will address at Membership Meeting

Financial Statements – Tricia is finishing up the final tallies, there are still a few issues regarding credits – will have an accurate report for the Membership Meeting.

CD/MMA – Tricia will investigate and report back

Taxes – Due 1/15 – Tricia has called the CPA – still waiting to hear on status

Labor Day Trial – Wade & John are chair – give a budget and let them work within that budget, no cash payments to be made at the trial

NADAC Trial – Sheri moved to allow the seminar, Caroline seconded – motion passed – Nancy is Trial Chair – will leave up to her to facilitate seminar.
Software – needed for the NADAC trial, need Access and Clean Run Trial Genie – will cost approximately $600. Sheri moved to allow for the purchase and Caroline seconded – motion passed.

Mulch – We asked Kim to order the mulch – Jane will follow up
Storage Shed – Tricia looked at sheds, wants a house type rather than barn type – will order after looking at options.
Wagon – Kim to buy – Jane will followup
Locks for Mailbox in shed – Kim to buy – Jane will followup
Climate Controlled Storage - $65 a month for Storage USA on E. William Cannon, 5 x 10, climate controlled. Lori to lease
Gate – Jane will follow up with Kim regarding bid – club allowed $300 as budget for the gate.

Scholarships – Sheri proposed that the club give a scholarship to a young adult involved in agility who will be going into an animal related field. Sheri will write up a proposal and it will be addressed at the next board meeting.
Games Day – Last Sunday in January, Tunnelers, Gamblers and Snooker?
Attachable CD Drive for laptop – Jaime & Tricia will see if there is any way to buy one that will fit the laptop.
V. Adrover requested a refund for overpayment of field fees after she moved out of state – she will be refunded $45.
