Austin K9Xpress General Membership Meeting
March 16, 2004 7 PM Auto Title Services of Oak Hill

Present: Jaime Margiotta, Tricia Hastings, Jane Trainham, Mary Marshall, Nancy Heger, Shari Kolding, Diane Sager, Jean Good, Lori Fennell, David Robbins, Kathy Robbins, Sheri Pillard, Tresha Barger, Valerie Crawford, Wade Pelton, Robert Stewart, Caroline Taylor, and Kim Galusha.

Meeting was called to order at 7:10PM

Secretary’s Report: Tricia moved to accept last meetings minutes, Valerie seconded – motion passed.

Treasures Report: Tricia has Income & Expense reports complete and are available for any member to look at.
Field Dues are due by the 10th of April. Mail them to the PO Box or drop them in the mailbox at the field. Tricia checks them both daily around the time that dues are due.

Training Report –Training is going well. The beginner class is at its mid point and there are 12 students. There are 2 intermediate classes, and the EEM class is still on Wednesday nights, not a consistent class.

New Members: We welcome, Don Chennavasin, Elissa Lee, Anne Nguyen, Mary Smith, Kim Moritomo, Megan O’Malley, Marilyn Hammond, and Drew Castaneda as our eight new members.

Important Dates – Next meeting will be May 18th at Sheri Pillards' office in Oak Hill at 7PM.

NADAC/ASCA/AMBOR Trial Report: Trial went very well, there were many compliments, from both competitors and the judges. The seminar was a huge success, the facility has improved immensely and the dirt was perfect! We are planning the next trial for the 2nd weekend in March at the Hays County Civic Center in 2005. The numbers are not compiled yet but will be announced at the next meeting.

AKC Trial Report: The trial preparations are going well. The show will be September 4 – 6th.

Mulch: The mulch has been delivered and there will be a mulch spreading party on Sunday the 21st at 10am.

Dog Walk: Lori made a proposition that we buy a new dog walk without slats. The proposition was that we purchase new slat-less ramps for the dog walk from Paws-E-Tracks. Lori moved, Caroline seconded and Lori will investigate and report back to the board and purchase the ramps. Motion passed.

Rebar Weave Poles: Nancy made a proposition that we buy rebar weave poles like the ones that we rent from Pamela Bryant-Meeks. The proposition was that we buy 2 sets of 6 rebar weave poles from whomever Pamela Bryant-Meeks purchased hers from. Nancy moved, Mary seconded. Motion passed.

Resignations: Jimmy resigned as Equipment Manager due to work and personal issues. It was mentioned that we ask Bill Cory, who is currently Assistant Equipment Manager, to see if he would take the position of Equipment Manager. Kim volunteered to take over the Equipment Familiarization for this round of new members. We will consider having another member take this over full time once the position is set.

Rules: The rules of Wikazri and the Agility Field will be resent with the next meeting agenda to all members. Please read them over for the safety of all dogs and people on the fields.

At 8:45 Wade moved to adjourn, Kim seconded – motion passed.
